Job Description
In need of a Service technicians to service boilers. Must have an advanced knowledge of electrical and boiler operation and with controls for a burner/boiler system. Must be willing to take service calls on weekends and work after hours ocasionally. We are the heart of many manufacturing plants they depend on us to keep them running.
Duties consist of:
Keeping a clean uniform/attire
Supplying your own hand tools
Have a good driving record
Able to drive over 1 hour to a service call
Maintain an organized work van
Must have good troubleshooting skills
Must know how to tune a boiler
Be able to work on your own
Be a self starter
Organized
We as Troy Boiler Works will:
Supply a work van
Gas card
Larger tooling ie: combustion gas analyzer, soot vacuum, tube brush tool
Training provided
Union boiler maker benefits plan which is the best out there is
Pay rate $35 to $45 per hour
A sign on bonus
Must join the union local No.5 zone 197

We believe things are changing and controls are taking over so Jack shaft/Linkage days are fading but not gone. If you understand controls some that is great. The service manager will teach you anything you need to know about the boilers and all systems you will be working on. You working without any incidents is our goal. Riding along is not an issue. You will most likely be riding along another tech for 2 weeks up to a month.
