This program is designed for participants to explore different financing structures utilized by the variety of clients served by First Tryon. Program participants will be considered for a full-time analyst role starting in the summer of 2028 in the firm’s two-year analyst program. This internship offers:

  • General exposure to the knowledge and skills required to ensure future success working in financial advisory services
  • Industry specific training focused on key topics such as debt capacity, credit analysis, tax-exempt financing structures and modeling, interest rate derivatives, and long-term capital planning
  • Hands-on experience in preparing quantitative analysis, presentation materials, and supporting client and working group deliverables
  • Case studies on project financing for local government, higher education, charter schools, independent schools, and general not-for-profit clients
  • Direct mentorship by junior and senior advisors

Qualifications:

  • Rising seniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree
  • Coursework or foundational knowledge of finance or accounting (preferred but not required)
  • Strong time management skills; well-organized, detail-oriented, and accurate

  • Availability to work in person, 40 hours per week, for the full two-week program
  • A letter of recommendation may be requested during the interview process, but is not required for initial submission

Compensation:

This is a paid internship program. First Tryon Advisors will provide a competitive stipend for the two-week Analyst Boot Camp. In addition, the firm will cover housing accommodations for the duration of the program. Additional details regarding compensation and logistics will be provided to selected candidates prior to the start of the program.
